Prevent Suicide-Redeem Life

Eight years ago, a thin emaciated girl quietly entered our residential complex, told the security guards that she wanted to meet the family on the eighth floor, made her way to the terrace instead and hurled her from the overhead tank.

It was no leap of faith.

Her blood-curdling screams pierced the thick walls of many apartments and for a moment everyone was frozen in that spectacle of death. Many said she was screaming even after her head hit the asphalt as she lay there in a tiny rivulet of blood flowing haphazardly into the drain.

    I really admired the way you wrote this post, full of love, kindness and compassion. If only each of us had that someone who could tell us that we matter and that they care. So many suicides and depression cases could be prevented. All it takes is a little bit of effort. Thank you for writing this. I hope we have fewer cases of suicide as the years pass and that we have more humanity creeping up on us.
